1. Will there be transportation from Ottawa to Kingston on Sunday, September 14?

A:  Yes, if you are staying at the Days Inn Ottawa you will have two opportunities to catch a tour bus.  The first, mid-morning explores the City of Ottawa; then the tour bus will do a second pick up at the Days Inn after lunch, which will stop in Merrickville for a visit on its way to Kingston.

Specific times will be provided closer to the Conference date.

A:  There are 3 ways to register, information is available on the Registration page.

4. What is included in the Accompanying Persons Program?

A:  The program for registered Accompanying Persons includes the following:

  • Ottawa Excursion on Sunday, September 14
  • Welcome Reception on Sunday, September 14
  • Four luncheons from Sunday to Wednesday
  • Three afternoon tour programs
    • Fort Henry and Kingston Mills – Monday, September 15
    • Smiths Falls, Westport and Perth – Tuesday, September 16
    • Jones Falls and Chaffeys Locks – Wednesday, September 17
  • Dinner cruise on Monday, September 15
  • Farewell Reception and Gala on Wednesday, September 17

5. Where can I book my hotel accommodation?

6. What is the weather like in Kingston?

A: The average daytime temperature for Kingston in the month of September is 17.5°C (63°F).  Temperatures can range from 11°C (51.8°F) to 29°C (84.2°F).  A light warm jacket is recommended.  Bring an umbrella or rain gear in case of inclement weather.

7. What do I need to bring or wear for the tours?

A:  The Conference program contains several outdoor tours.  It is recommended that you bring your camera and wear comfortable and sturdy footwear for walking on pathways and trails.
